Boosting Your Child’s Success.
Our Online English Teaching Services
Primary and KS2
Once a child reaches KS2, you may find that they need a little extra support. We offer individual personalised lessons for children who may be struggling, need help with new concepts, preparing for SATs or perhaps work at a slower rate than other children their age.
Our specialised tutors who have extensive experience and knowledge of primary teaching and education will support your child through their learning journey.
11+ Preparation and Common Entrance Exams.
It can be a stressful time for both parent and child in preparing for an entrance exam. Our highly qualified tutors have a vast knowledge of the entry requirements and will help students prepare for these exams and assessments. This will be the first time your child will have to go through a timed exam so it is logical to choose a specialist who can guide and support them throughout.
Preparing for SATS in Year 6.
It can be a difficult time for children who are preparing for SATS examinations. Not only are they working hard to do their best but they are preparing to move up into secondary school which can be a worrying time for many.
As every child is different, our lessons are tailor made to offer each learner the best opportunity. We don’t just teach how to answer questions in SATS papers but we also teach the skills which underpin these examinations.
Having extra support from our experienced tutors leading up to these assessments, will enable your child to feel less overwhelmed and more confident in their approach.
GCSE/IGCSE
As a core subject, a good GCSE grade is usually required in English to access courses in further education. Many employers also want a good grade in English too and not everyone finds English easy.
Extra tuition in English language will help your child focus on areas such as different writing styles, spelling, grammar and punctuation and creative writing.
In English literature, tuition may help the need for understanding important works of literature, interpreting poetry or Shakespeare and analysing character and themes.
Whatever the difficulty, having time outside of school to focus on those areas which need to be thoroughly learnt can make a huge difference in a child’s confidence, understanding and progress.
We have experienced, specialist tutors who can help your child do just that.
A Level
Many students take A level English to further their education and apply to university. Having the right specialist tutor will help you prepare for exams and give you confidence in taking this higher level qualification.
Homework Support and Revision
Homework and revising can be tough. In our exam revision sessions, we teach revision skills and exam techniques together with the best way of tackling difficult questions. If exams are looming then starting revision earlier rather than later is always the best course of action.
Our specialist tutors will assist and guide your child through even the most difficult of tasks giving them confidence and support in tackling their homework or revision related problems.
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
SEN is a very broad term that relates to many different difficulties and disabilities. In our team of tutors, we have specialists who teach students with a variety of special needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, SLD and MLD both in KS2, KS3 and KS4. If you have a child who needs extra support, please use the contact form so we can get in touch to chat about your specific requirements.
Whatever the learning difficulty, our lessons enable children to work at their own pace with encouragement and support.
Group Lessons
We firmly believe that a one-to-one lesson offers a personalised learning solely for the individual. However, there may be times where a revision session for GCSE or transition lesson for those moving into a new school or year group or perhaps a masterclass in an A level topic might warrant a group session. We will notify you of these specific sessions as we schedule them.
Occupational English Tuition for IELTS and OET
If you are currently preparing for an assessment to test your English language levels you may feel you require further support and guidance. These types of assessment are chosen by regulatory bodies to ensure that doctors, nurses and other professions have sufficient language skills to communicate at a high level with patients and colleagues. We can support you whilst you go through the process and advise you along the way.
